Who we are
The Zambezi Working Donkey Project (ZWDP) is a non‑profit organisation based in Livingstone, Zambia. Our aim is to improve the lives of working donkeys. By providing veterinary care, better harnesses, and owner education, we protect the animals that local families depend on every day.

For £40 a year, you can adopt one of our residents! Your contribution provides essential feed, specialised medical care, and a safe forever home for donkeys who have worked hard their entire lives and now deserve peace.
This programme directly contributes to our broader rescuse and rehabilitation efforts across nearby communities.
