ZWDP is lucky to have an extremely knowledgeable team, who have many years experience keeping equines and understand how important donkeys are to their owners and the role they play in rural life.

We provide training in the care of donkeys and other animals and an understanding of their behaviour and daily needs through theoretical workshops and practical sessions at our outreach clinics. 

​

Several of our team come from farming backgrounds themselves and are well regarded to advise owners how to adapt their techniques for ploughing, pulling carts etc. so they are more suitable for donkeys, rather than using the traditional, and extremely damaging ox-yoke method.

We also give owners advice about how to get the best performance from their donkeys through kindness and positive reinforcement.
