Zambezi Working Donkey Project is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation and relies 100% on donations from wonderful people who want to make a difference to the daily lives of these amazing animals.

All donations go directly towards helping the animals.

will pay for two sacks of maize to feed a donkey for two weeks

£10
​will pay for a first aid kit to treat one donkey with vital veterinary attention such as de-worming, tick treatment and wound care

​will pay for a set of new padded harnesses to replace a cruel wooden ox-yoke

£35
​will pay for the training of a Community Livestock Officer as a ZWDP representative within a rural community, to educate owners, provide basic care and monitor donkeys’ welfare

will pay to rescue and rehome a donkey who is too injured, sick or old to work anymore

£80
will provide emergency funding for us to attend to call-outs for cases of sick, injured and abused donkeys. This fund is ring-fenced for emergencies so that we can respond to those most desperate for our help

​Donations also help us to pay for medical aid, cart modifications, education and outreach programmes.
